The Ugly Truth

Let's talk movies. The Ugly Truth to be exact.

So, first of all for all the parents who thought it would be okay to take their kids to this (because yes, there were kids in the theater when I went to see the movie) ..did you look at the rating? It's rated R. What makes you think bringing a child to this movie would be a good idea? Do you really think that you know better? That you can just ignore the rating because it's a romantic comedy of types? /sigh .. some people. This is by no means a kid movie or even kid friendly and if you thought it was, you need to use your head.

Okay, so in my opinion I didn't like the movie. Again, I'm just giving my opinion. I'm not the kind of person who believes you need to be vulgar in order to be funny, nor did I enjoy hangover. I'm by no means a prude, I just don't enjoy having to listen to people who's biggest attempts at humor are overusing the words f*ck and c*ck. The movie was completely predictable just from the trailers. There was absolutely some parts where I laughed a whole lot but as a whole I didn't enjoy myself. The characters were just like the movie predictable and poorly developed. Katherine's acting really shined in some parts and Mr.Butler I'll admit really surprised me too, I hope to see him in more comedic roles in the future. I expected to know what happens in the movie but I really didn't expect to be so turned off by the use of language and lack of humor otherwise.

I guess I should give them credit for not doing what Paul Blart Mall Cop did and put all the funniest things in the trailer to make it seem funnier than it really was. So, that was my opinion. What's yours?
